This book is amazing. The characters all intertwine like a basket. They all add to each others backgrounds and future actions. There are constant events that magnificently add to the plot. I loved all the action that led to the suspenseful end. Weisman's writing is unique and authentic. I've never read anything like his writing. To sum it all, I love this book and I can't wait for more.
I really liked this adventure. The book was detailed in every way. I was able to comprehend the storyline and imagine the scenes. The author's writing was creative and entertaining.

The prose is clean and precise, a true breath of fresh air in a sea of long-winded narratives. With the help of some copyediting, this author has the potential to become a significant voice in his genre. I highly recommend this book!
Well-plotted, action-packed fantasy tale featuring an eclectic array of characters from an intriguing ficton, this novella really draws the reader into its world and keeps you engrossed in the interweaving storylines involving mercenaries, wizards, a feuding royal family and many more imaginative citizens from a realm besieged by a magical plague... The way Weisman brings the various characters together is well done and definitely makes the reader want to see how things play out in the next chapter... A bit rushed at times (a LOT happens on every page) and could definitely use some copyediting but, overall, an entertaining and engaging read.
