I dig the characters, strong, sassy Cuban Latinas that are smart and fun. I'm voting it in as the #1 summer read, where even if you're reading it in a cornfield in Illinois, you'll feel like you're in South Florida, or wish you were. A fun read! I'm looking forward to more adventures with Gigi and Lourdes.
What a well written, fun read that gave me a taste of Miami as well. Look forward to the next one.
I was moved--from mild interest to full engagement, and then to breathless intrigue--this book has it all! A slice of Miami life in all its excitement and mystery, I think _Jewler's Mark_ is a terrific read. Brava to the author--give us more!
The characters are so richly drawn, and I loved getting to know them in this story. The details about the jewelry business were fascinating, and even though I've never been to Miami, I got a real sense of that city . I don't usually read mystery novels, but this one was so much fun, and I really enjoyed it.
Smart, sassy mystery set in the middle of Miami's sparkling diamond district. Reyes strings the clues like a perfectly matched set of pearls for the reader's engagement and enjoyment. Heroine Gigi Santos may sell diamonds, but she solves the mystery with a girl's REAL best friends - wit, grit, and ingenuity.
Strong characters, crime, jewels, and romance. This has all that and more. I cannot wait for more and can't wait to see where Gigi's romance goes from here. Hopefully she and Lou can stay out of trouble!
I thoroughly enjoyed this read. Feisty Spirited Latinas; Gigi and Lou (Lourdes) are the best kind of lifelong friends. The kind that get each other in trouble. Gigi in pursue of a deeper understanding with a recently acquired belief in Karma and Lou the insatiable gossip complement each other in THE JEWLER’S MARK in a fun and believable manner.
An international array of characters in set in Miami is a page turning adventure through the world or Russian organized crime, Cuban diamond dealers and averse Ukrainians. All of the characters have a defined and interesting purpose.
Love, crime, murder and a wide variety of foods develop into a most enjoyable read.
